Aspects
Aspects form when two planets are a certain number of degrees apart from each other. Depending on their distance apart, aspects signify certain things about the relationship between the two planets and indicate whether they will generally have beneficial or challenging effects.
Conjunctions
A conjunction forms when two planets are essentially next to each other in the chart. What is considered a conjunction usually depends on the orb one is using, but it generally means two planets are closer than 8 degrees apart. The closer together the two planets are, the more powerful the aspect will be.
A conjunction is going to combine the energies of the two planets involved, and this is generally a positive aspect (though not always). Each planet involved is also more influential on the overall chart than it would be if standing alone.
