The 2nd House
The second house is usually one that gets people all excited because it deals with the things that we have. Things like money, wealth, possessions, all of these things are dealt with in this house. It’s ruled by Taurus and Venus. The second house doesn’t just deal with money and possessions; it also affects the means by which we come about these things as well. It also will show what attitudes people have towards wealth, whether someone can live in squalid conditions or wishes to spend money frivolously.
The second house is not all about the material however. It also has much influence on the way that we feel about certain things. Our own personal codes of beliefs are most likely rooted in the second house. Mental attitudes towards certain things are affected here.
On the converse side, it also has an affect on what we do not have, both materially in the form of debt or emotionally as wants wishes and desires. Lastly it deals with what kind of value we put on certain things, both physically as well as how we might prioritize things mentally.
