Aspects
Aspects form when two planets are a certain number of degrees apart from each other. Depending on their distance apart, aspects signify certain things about the relationship between the two planets and indicate whether they will generally have beneficial or challenging effects.
Sextiles
Sextiles form when two planets are about 60 degrees apart from each other (depending on the orb used).
Sextiles tend to be positive in nature, giving someone a bit of a boost in some area of the chart. The two planets involved interact harmoniously and can give help to each other. At the same time though, this aspect does not have the power that the trine does. As a result, a person will have to commit some effort towards achieving their goals (they will not seem to unfold with little effort as sometimes happens with trines). But opportunities still tend to arise out of these aspects and unlike the trine, they can also keep a person from becoming too complacent.
