It shows what appears to be a hopeless situation... but upon closer examination of the card, you see that the dreaded beast is nothing but a collection of different things that your fearful mind has joined together into a monster... It is telling you that you are not seeing things as they really are... look again...

Is an area of uncertainty. A fork in the road exists and your options and their particular outcomes are not clearly stated. Because of inner inhibitions you are blinded but overcoming these inhibitions is the key to making the right choice.
This card indicates an indecision is causing an interference in your life... This can be caused by you or an outside force, but either way, progress is unlikely to continue until this matter has some type of resolution. Normally, when this card is drawn it indicates it is aligned to a matter of the heart.
The 9 of Swords
Is indicative of a time of personal self-destruction. You beat up on yourself, and because of it you are letting others beat up on you as well. You begin to fantasize yourself in bad situations which leaves you prone to actually experience bad situations.
So in other words... you may be creating your own misery... by planting the seeds of pain and suffering into your mind... and then having it become a self-fulfilling prophecy... The universe is telling you to knock it off and get on with the program fercrissakes...
The 10 of Swords
Portrays a time of pessimism where negative thinking can lead to a fear of losing mental control and going insane. This instability can also result in useless violence and collapse in various stages of life.
Geeshka... this card cuts right to the heart of the matter... It is a warning card that you or someone else (depending upon the position the card is drawn) is operating with a horrible negative attitude that will destroy you/them if it is continued... This card is drastic, but it needs to be to get the message across.
The Knight of Swords
Is a card that shows many different kinds of thinking; various ways of seeing the world. Thoughts are more abstract which allows a more open perspective where progress is given a chance to happen. You are eager to think of new ideas and creatively think of solutions to problems at hand.
