The Fool - Beginnings
The Fool card is the beginning of the soul's trip through the Major Arcana. We see our younger self, free and uninhibited, running to meet our adventures in life. We can only imagine the treasures that are waiting for us at the end of the rainbow. We are light on our feet and it feels good to run. Our faithful number two, represented by the dog, is at our heels cautioning us to slow down and be careful, but we can't be bothered with that. We've packed our day bag with everything we think we'll need, trusting for everything else. Our run is our dance down the stream, splashing in the water. 'Fools rush in where angels fear to tread.' We find ourselves strangely protected as we fly forward. The sun at our back, the road ahead, and the mist rising from the morning rain beckon us to take the leap into our destiny; It is our inner child chasing a butterfly down the creek, laughing. All archetypes return to the Fool card, as everything multiplied by zero is zero. The Fool has a special connection to the Multiverse card, as that card represents many paths existing concurrently; Always remember the fool. After all, aren't we all fools?
Face Up
When face up, we sing with joy the meaning of the Fool. This card indicates moving forward in an unplanned and unexpected way; Optimism, happiness, and a naive perspective fill his outlook. Magician - Transmutation
The Magician is a strong figure of creation. He is the person who makes it happen, the one who transforms lead into gold. He sits on an ornate, golden chair, one hand pointing upward to the sky and the other pointing downward toward the earth. He is the connection between the two. Behind him are two pillars of immense power. Above his head is a multifaceted crystal that gives him the ability to see many different sides of a problem before coming up with a clever solution. The crystal also indicates that his knowledge comes from a higher source. Before him are the elements of the Tarot: the red wand, the blue cup, the yellow stone, and the white sword. He uses the elements as a musician would use his or her instrument. The figure is tarnished and darkened, showing both use and age, but his posture is relaxed and open. He often takes pieces of materials that would otherwise have been discarded or overlooked, and manifests new solutions using his ability to channel universal energy: He brings new information to our ever-changing environment. He is quick and considered by some to be a miracle worker. The crown above his head indicates his great intelligence. In her outstretched hand is the earth. She holds the globe protectively in her loving hand. Her actions are never seen, only felt. To each side is a dolphin. The dolphin is one of the smartest sea creatures, but still a mystery to us. Dolphins are playful, yet at any moment splash beneath the water's surface. The High Priestess holds a thin veil before her. This is both to keep her secrets and to remind us of how thin the line is between each other and the other dimensions. A fog has come in over the water, adding more mystery to the scene. She sits upon the ocean in a chair made of blue ice. Water represents the subconscious mind and its tremendous depths.
