Happy Birthday Sue... and Happy Birthday to ME!!
Birthdays may not be that big of a deal for most people... But let's face it, they are extremely important to astrologers!!... (duhhh)... hehe... It's a time of renewal for us as we chart our Solar Returns, Transits & Progressions for the upcoming year... As it was written... "A Day Shall Equal a Year... That is the foundation of many of our astrological routines... Adding a "day" to our birthday for each year we've been alive is the formula for Secondary Progressions... Pure astrology doesn't insult the Big Guy or his Spirit by making "predictions"... It merely spells out the conditions we may experience in our current journey down the path of our lives... It's really the "Old Farmers Almanac" for people... It helps to show us when it's the best time to "plant our seeds and to harvest for our future growth & prosperity".
Solar Return charts are very important too, because they are charts that are cast for the moment the Sun returns to the exact position it was in on our birthday... That also helps us prepare for the upcoming year's conditions... If the indicators are that it may be a very cold winter, that helps us to store up some extra "firewood" in case it's needed... and if the winter does prove to be mild, that wood can be used to light a fire... sit back, and have a glass of wine and to stare up at the sky in the evening!! hehe...
As you can imagine, I get a lot of email saying how accurate my 'scopes are... And I do take credit for the time & effort to write them all down... But in all honesty, the horoscopes have always been notes to myself, so I can be prepared in advance for conditions that are indicated in the chart... If there is any real credit to be handed out, it certainly goes the Big Guy and his Big Spirit because I am merely writing the words down for what they have already "written in the sky"... The way I see it, is that I am bright enough to realize that I am a total spaz & mutant and need all the help I can get fercrissakes!!... hehe... So I write down the 'scopes and as long as I do, I just choose to share them with you guys... And over the 40 something years of charting and the 17 years of doing this online, more & more people have been coming by to read them... We have served over 20 Million Horoscopes this year so far... And as long as I take the time to write them, I want as many people to read them as possible!! (makes writing them seem worth the effort)...
I kind of see this as a group effort... Because it forces me to learn & fine tune the craft... I guess it's like playing the guitar... At first you want to be as fast & furious as possible, but slowly you get more fine tuned and focus on making each note sound as good as it can... (or something like that)... So the members & sponsors play a huge part in making this happen as well as I would never be able to afford this on my own... If I could, I would ask that you visit our sponsors, but we are not allowed to say that... Most websites that are this big have plenty of staff to handle all the work that is needed... But it's just a handful of us just doing our best... Alright... So there ya go... It's a brand new year for me... But it really is that good as long as you hold fast & true to your personal honor & integrity (the usual 10th House demand of high standards, morals & integrity)...
