Daily Horoscope for Aquarius Summary

My buddy Zum asks me tonight what I want out of life. And I think about it rather seriously, and I rattle off some answers about where I’d like to be personally, in physical form, mainly. And I thought about the career side of things and that’s sort of where I hit a mental block. Part of the reason for that is I spend so much time day-to-day thinking about present-day problems that I never have my gaze too far down the road. It’s hard to follow your dreams if you don’t really dream of anything. Regarding Zum, we’ve been friends since seventh grade. These are things we’ve always talked about, aspirations and such. So now, mid-thirties, for him to ask me that, and me to struggle with an answer; it feels a little foreign.

You look at the present chart, and Jupiter and Saturn are doing battle, and this is going to cause everyone to look carefully at the career aspects of their life. Problems will stick out like a sore thumb. Frustrations can run high. The more things fail to improve, the more desperate and agitated people will get. It’s not a great time for making personal progress, though it is a pretty good time for getting a good read on what’s really happening with everything in these areas. Problems cause us to slow down and assess things. Sometimes when you’re caught up in the day-to-day, you lose sight of these things, you lose sight of process, but this energy can restore it.

Similarly, Venus is getting lit up right now. It hooks up with the Uranus-Pluto square, and it also hooks up with Saturn. In some ways, this is us knowing there’s something more out there. There’s something better than what we have now (not that what we have is necessarily bad). But this longing can also be frustrating. It might drive us to be more revolutionary in our approach, to try the untrodden path. Our attempts to better ourselves might not be successful, or worse yet, set us back quite a ways. On top of that, we might not know where to start working towards our goals.

You look at a landscape like that and it might be tough to power through any trouble and adversity. Some people might start to wonder what the point of doing something is. Because of the current energy, don’t be surprised if you start seeing some upheaval at work, people leaving or taking different roles. It might even be you looking to make such a move.

I think about this past week and how that’s had its impact on me. Problems with work have decimated my free time for most of the week. Obligations to family and friends took up my time today (which is why there’s only going to be a summary today). Yet, with great potential comes great responsibility. I talk with my buddy Phil about The Saddle. The Saddle is when you’re often tasked with carrying others to places of prosperity. It’s burdensome. And yet, at the same time, you don’t end up in that position if you can’t bring things to the table that others can’t. There’s a sense of importance that goes along with it.

In any event, these are the types of things to keep your mind on today, and for the upcoming future. You can focus on the negative. You can say, too many people need me. Too many people are taking advantage of me. There’s too much chaos, or too much I can’t predict, or things are moving along too quickly. You can let your frustrations build up, and even worse, you can take them out on others.

Or you can look at the positive side of things. You can see where you’re needed. You can see where you need to make improvements. You can assess where your efforts fit in, and where they’re clashing with what others are doing. You can see the holes around you and do something to patch them up. And you can see the things dragging you down and see what needs to be done to reverse the process and lift yourself back up again.

This energy will hit all of us, and it will hit all of us a little differently. But as always, perspective is everything. Tonight, Zum and me went to the casino. And he probably lost as much money in three hours playing blackjack as I make in a week. And as we’re leaving, he’s not upset. He took a chance, rode the wave and this time it didn’t work out, but at least he tried. He’s an entrepreneur, and this mentality has led him to be successful. It’s the perspective to look at negative events through a positive scope that keeps us out of ruts and encourages us to continue to pursue better things. So no matter what happens, always remember you get to choose how you’re going to view the events of your life, and that there’s power within that. Best of luck.
