Don't have so much clutter around that it's difficult to navigate, that sort of thing. Writing things down, having to-do lists and being able to track things mentally also helps keep your mind together so you know what needs to be done and when it has to get done. All of these things try to minimize the chaos, which is the real threat to the things you're currently doing.
