Sometimes it’s the mental side that takes the leading role…kind of like yesterdays “Friday the 13th” vibe, even if you don’t buy into the superstition, there’s still an edge to contend with in the overall attitude that dominates the universal feelings that are in the mix. It’s times like these that it’s important to keep in mind how much it matters that we create our own positivity and keep our eye on the silver lining.

This is often the case with Saturn retrograde (we’ll be dealing with until mid July)….it’s often said that this energy creates restrictions, but there’s a much deeper level to be recognized with this energy that is often missed. It deals with the opportunities presented, the clarifying of our own objectives, and perhaps most importantly, on being able to balance our life choices and personal energy so that we have enough to “go the long run”…it can be like watching a race on the Olympics and everyone gets all worked up and excited about the guy who bursts out way ahead of everyone…only to run out of steam and be taken over by the underdog at the end… the funny part is how the underdog then tends to have a bigger favor…”where did He come from?!” The magical appeal cannot be underrated…and it all surrounds a solid understanding of what You can do, to heck with the crowd or the expectations!

What’s great about this energy as we enter the weekend is how it’s so supercharged and ready for action…of any kind, as long as things are moving, this energy will be gaining momentum…this can easily lead to things taking on a life of their own and loosing their original perspective. Especially in group activities where there’s an added, almost explosive boost of energy to “take control” or “get the upper hand”. Watch out for this “grabby” sort of energy and keep in mind to seek your own pleasure for its own sake.

Mercury is also playing a large role with our current chart energy and is adding it’s own flair to the Saturn retrograde energy by boosting our design to get things “all figured out”…this energy is nearly futile in it’s drive as it will tend to lead no where -directly, it’s actually all about inspiring the creative exploration along the path…this can add a bit of desire for spice, mystery, and mischief…even a dab or more of the impulsive so it will be key to keep this in mind when you feel lured into a potentially hazardous situation (or even just “too indulgent”), this is when the spirit can seem to have two sides, the one of the child saying “Lets Go Now!” and the other of the more learned adult that says “Whoa, did we think about this?”

There really is a lot going on right now which is going to make for an action packed weekend, trying to find a slice of calm and peace right now to stay grounded and connected will be of ultimate value- don’t let the summer breeze by in a blur! More details in the weekend summary so stay tuned!
