If you’re big on news, or pop culture, or sci-fi, or computers, or Stephen Hawking, computers, or this years Film by the title Transcendence….you’ll have heard this week’s “big” news that we should be afraid that computers (read: robots) will kill us in the future- wait! & Either with malice (read: I just think you should die) or Love (read: you should die for your own good)…. Therefore, Ms. Nell Watson, an engineer from Amsterdam speaking in conference says that that the most important thing we can do is to ensure (teach?) machines to “understand human value”. Hold The Phone…I think we may be getting ahead of ourselves. In light of the Labor Day weekend, let’s think for just a second about what we are talking about. I know I am not alone to be surprised we aren’t living in a Jetson world (remember the Jetsons?) ….all those robots should have been cleaning & cooking long ago…Yet, they aren’t here. So… we can expect they are still coming?... good….er, wait. What IF (drum roll) WE are the robots?! (oh yeah, you know you were thinking it too). What if the singularity of the synthesis of man and machine has already happened (don’t ask me how, you can always play the time travel card right?, wink)…what if (in our lifetimes no less!!!) we find that we’ve created thinking machines…and on and on- until we don’t know what’s a machine and what’s “living”…until finally, we are confronted- face to face, with the idea that the machine is just the body (the hardware), & the virtual world is all we see…the reality of Life lies beyond the hardware and what we can touch and see. A whole new world is indeed waiting on the wings…. Well Then…the question of friendly or malicious A.I. machines & robots of the future is already decided…it’s in you.

Ok, so that’s my Labor Day Weekend rant, and I can’t tell you why but the Universe usually sends me a sign of what it needs me to address nearly every week, this one I’ve been stewing on all week ;)

The spirit of transformation is alive and well this weekend, you’ll notice people want to say more, this is not in the usual and likely way of just hearing themselves talk- nope, there’s real information being spread around, and it’s as much a need for those to speak it as for others to hear. Keep thine ears peeled. This has a deep healing energy that goes along with it, sweeping the past under the rug and starting anew. Forgiveness, letting go, feeling the lightness of dropping the weight and seeing the dawn of a new day rise…Beautiful.

This energy stretches a Lot further than the current moment, the real energy at work here is setting the stage for things to come, the more you can see the end all the way through (this is the Key) the better…the formless and undefined carries no weight, but if those with real vision and a connection to heart (soul) will see this energy blossom down the road. A time to dream big with your Own eyes, and your own Guts to see it through. This is real strength, (you can lift all the weights you want).

In a way, this energy is a lot like wearing rainbow sunglasses- personally, I think we should all have a pair in every single color- ready to dress up our world as we see fit take the sun shine & make it ours…the dream goes a long way, but it’s the intention, the emotion behind that colors it all- let it be yours and yours alone. This personalization is what draws others in and you’ll notice couples and groups seem to be in their own world- because they are…the craving to drown the rest out is real and at play- game on!
