This weekend Mars moves from its home sign of Aries into Taurus, which is much more grounded and slow-moving. And it will remain there until July 20 before moving into Gemini. Mars is related associated to our courage, ambition, anger, and libido. It moves quickly and can be reckless, so it needs a useful way to express itself. If not, it may become destructive by fighting, bullying, or causing accidents.

Taurus is a fixed earth sign ruled by Venus. This means that Mars is not as comfortable in Taurus or able to do what it wants to, like taking action, being motivated, or even being angry.

Mars is linked with speed and recklessness, something you rarely associate with Taurus. When Mars is in Taurus, there is steady, reliable, and sometimes slow action. As Taurus is ruled by Venus, the desire for harmony and indulgence is at cross-purposes with Mars desire towards more aggressive and practical energy.

Maybe this will bring a quieter, slower, calmer and even cooler start to the summer! We will have about 6 weeks to enjoy this slower pace before it moves into lively Gemini.
