Daily Horoscope for Cancer Summary

The ideas going through people's heads right now can be potent, but the actions they undertake aren't always going to line up with the ideas. It's confusing to others as they look on, because one thing isn't always going to lead to another. That's kind of the basis for the energy today, where you try to figure out what the people around you are thinking in some kind of (often futile) attempt to predict what they're going to do next.

One thing you particularly want to be careful of right now is when you (or others around you) are making things unnecessarily hard. Some people are going to steer into trouble rather than away from it. There's often not a lot to be gained by taking the path of least resistance, but the point with today's energy is that resistance itself doesn't make you that much stronger. It's purposeful resistance that does, challenges that actually help you grow. The challenges people take on here aren't really going to do that. So if there's an easier way to get things done, commit to taking that path towards your goals. There will be better times to amp things up if you want to improve. Best of luck.

The Daily Horoscope for Cancer

When things get tough, you'll have a propensity to curl up and try to avoid it. It's going to be better to try and deal with things head-on though. You're going to have to find ways to deal with the emotional aspect of situations you're dealing with, especially when they are distracting you from looking at the future by keeping you pinned to the present. The more you can shrug off though, the better you'll do - when you're not operating under self-caused anxiety or pressure, you'll have a clear idea of what you want to do and make a push to get it done.

Daily Tao

When it is peaceful, it is easy to maintain
When it shows no signs, it is easy to plan
When it is fragile, it is easy to break
When it is small, it is easy to scatter
Act on it when it has not yet begun
Treat it when it is not yet chaotic
A tree thick enough to embrace
Grows from the tiny sapling
A tower of nine levels
Starts from the dirt heap
A journey of a thousand miles
Begins beneath the feet

The one who meddles will fail
The one who grasps will lose
Therefore, sages do not meddle and thus do not fail
They do not grasp and thus do not lose

People, in handling affairs
Often come close to completion and fail
If they are as careful in the end as the beginning
Then they would have no failure

Therefore, sages desire not to desire
They do not value goods that are hard to acquire
They learn to unlearn
To redeem the fault of the people
To assist the nature of all things
Without daring to meddle
