Daily Horoscope for Cancer Summary

Happy New Year

The new year starts off with a tricky transit where we're going to be trying to figure all sorts of things out, but the answers we need aren't going to be readily available. The things we're unhappy with in our lives can stir within us, which creates this sense of urgency to make sweeping changes. Making changes is typically a good thing, but making them willy nilly, without really thinking things through might end up getting you further from the goal than you were before. So having some patience and thinking things through is essential.

That element of things is going to last for a little while (most of the week), but for today in particular, these situations will be much more emotionally charged. You might take every slight, misfortune and setback as some indicator that everything around you is crumbling, when that's probably not the case. You want to treat everything with its requisite severity, but it's going to be up to each of us to make sure we're not blowing our situations out of proportion. That's where things will tend to get complicated and we'll do more self-harm than good. If you can look at things in real terms and with a rational and reasonable approach, this energy isn't too bad to deal with. So if all of a sudden things seem a bit overwhelming, take a step back and try to see where you might be overthinking it. Best of luck.

In dealings with others, you might be so desperate to forge strong connections with people here that you basically eat up everything that they say without really thinking too hard about it. You're much more susceptible to "fringe" ideas here, like cultism/conspiracy types of thought, especially the more entertaining it all seems. From afar, these ideas aren't too bad, but if you're fully immersed in them, it can start to have a more significant impact on the way you approach relatively normal situations around you, causing you to make weird decisions and have lapses of better judgment.
