Daily Horoscope for Capricorn Summary
The "posse" (Sun, Mercury and Venus) are converging upon a common position, but they all haven't quite met up just yet; that comes around next week. In the meantime, most of the planetary connections have lost steam, save for Saturn-Pluto. As we look at today, this is going to make it easier to see the Mercury and Mars retro madness, with a little Saturn-Pluto thrown in.
You guys know the drill with Mercury retro (if you don't, you haven't been reading long enough). Problems in communication can surface (usually revealing flaws in the way you communicate). There are also problems with electronics or your cars. With Mercury still in Capricorn, you might also see issues arise when you try to get too "cute" with what you say, trying to make it come out absolutely right. It might help you out more if you are just blunt with how you feel, allowing others to sort out the periphery. Capricorn is about the ideal, but it's also about functioning on a high level. This might make it tougher to do your best as well.
Mars retro isn't helping that out at all either. For many people, what has motivated us a short time ago has fallen off the radar a bit. It's easy to get down on yourself if you've been pursuing a goal because often the progress you'd make is invisible. You might not see the point in putting a lot of energy into things because it's harder to see that energy being worth it in the end.
Having a bit of faith in your pursuits is really important. It's like Indiana Jones having the faith to walk across the chasm to get the Holy Grail, because only that faith would help him save his father. Deep down you have to believe that what you are doing is worth it because deep down you have a goal that's more important than any hardship that comes along the way.
As we head forward towards the new year, my message is tough it out. The energy gets a lot better once we get a little into January. Things will get a bit easier; some burdens can be lifted and more opportunities can open up. But we're not quite there yet and some of us can still set ourselves back a ways just by "giving up" on things that really haven't been meant to develop yet. So grit your teeth. Welcome the challenges that come in the upcoming days. To leave 2009 on a high note only gives you a higher ground to start from come 2010. Best of luck and Happy New Year.

The effort you put in on the homefront might not always seem worth it (and this can get worse when Saturn goes retro in a couple weeks). At the same time though, don't discount how impactful you can be on the lives of the people closest to you. When you come through in the clutch, everyone will notice. This energy is targeting your relationships hard; it might be worth a look to see how people around you are doing if you've headed off into isolation to work on your own projects for a while. Even if you are constantly around people, you might not be putting in the requisite time to keep bonds strong (instead responding with head nods and What's ups. Make an effort to talk more with those around you; make sure you know what's going on in their lives.
