Freedom and Creativity... What a concept...
One of the greatest things about when the "Lords of the Chart" (saturn and jupiter) are retrograde is that it has that revealing quality of what the real truth and "heart of the matter" really is all about... It is the emphasis upon how important personal freedom is to us on an individual level... Especially now-days when "Group-Think" rules the day and when everybody is expected to share the same views or risk becoming a social outcast... This is when the retro planets try to point out where hypocrisy exists and needs to be corrected.

In astrology, the Saturn and Jupiter energies are really the same, the only difference is that their approach is radically different... Saturn can seem like the stern disciplinarian at times, but is really a big "softy" when you get right down to it... Sorta-kinda like a "mom" that will hug and re-assure you after dealing with a disappointment and encourage you to get back up and try again... Jupiter on the other hand will "look away" when you choose to "free-style" and try out new ideas and if they work out, great... But if not, then you get the classic "I told you this could happen" kind of lecture... hehe... The main mission of both of these planets is to allow us to see and consider the consequences of our words and actions.
When both of these planets are retrograde as they are now... Then the main focus of the chart shifts towards Uranus who is sorta-kinda like the "Big Boss" of the zodiac... Uranus is concerned with the overall "Big Picture"... The main focus of the Uranian energy is found within "Self-Reliance"... The Uranian energy has no room for "reasons and excuses" or "unproven theories" or any kind of "let someone else do it for me" kind of attitude... This energy is there to help people empower themselves and discover their true inner talents and potentials that appear in challenges and unexpected events... Sorta-kinda like Mercury on steroids... hehe...
More than anything the Uranian energy is there to reveal "the pride of personal accomplishment"... This is awesome energy for sure, but make no mistake about it, the Big Spirit is not going to kiss us on the ass and throw rose pedals at our feet... It creates the conditions where we can rise above the challenges if and when we choose to do so.
Today's chart is focused on communication and our interactions with others... It is there to make sure we understand that there is huge potential within this current energy, but it is up to us to turn ideas into action and reality... Yes, this is awesome chart energy because the real core of this chart is to get bring us back to the real "heart of the matter" of what truly is important to us and why we choose to do what we do.
