Daily Horoscope for Capricorn Summary
Today I Start my Life Anew...
Yes... The Website is acting 'wonky' right now... And there will be page problems... (hopefully... just sayin')... It should all be handled by the start of next week... It's a lot like putting a new engine into a 25 year old car... Where the old programming ways do not work anymore, and need to be updated... In the old days, there was as a 'team' of us creating this site... Now, it's me and 2 defective (but awesome) dogs that do the programming... (the dogs just make sure no rabbits or squirrels get in the house) hehe...
Anyway...
So don't hate on me if a few of the pages are wonky...
Sometimes, the 'Scopes may not appear (especially when trying to read the next day's 'scope)... Some of the programming routines were written 25 years ago, and have to be re-done in today's modern code... And there are thousands of pages that need to be updated... So I've started with the essential pages and will continue until they're all updated.
Lookin' Back...
25 years ago... I made a web-page called "Hey Baby, What's your Sign?"... It was a goof... I just started workin' at an internet company... Back then, nobody even knew what the 'internet' was... I'm not really a programmer, but I do know some code... I got tired of people askin' me "what's goin' on in the sky"... So I figgered I'd just write it down so I didn't have to repeat myself 10 times a day... hehe... (lazy huh?)... Lots of people somehow found their way to the page... So the guys I worked with, suggested I get a 'domain' so I choose WeeklyHoroscope.com because I only intended to write once a week.
I was really fortunate, because some of the smartest people in the world helped me put this site together... So much so, that's it's weathered the storms for 25 years... But now a lot of the old code is out-dated and needs to be replaced... That is why I need to update it... There are also security issues too... I DO NOT STORE ANY PERSONAL INFO ONLINE... But the 'bots' and hackers do not know that... hehe... I only store the data needed to cast and update their chart when a "member" logs in... I am a HUGE privacy advocate!! Because the data is so encrypted, even I cannot read the login's or the passwords or some of the birth data info.
25 years... What a long... Strange trip it's been...
I never really wanted to be an astrologer... It just came natural to me... Like those guys that can pick up a guitar and play... I fought it for the longest time, but eventually I gave in, and realized that this is what the Big Spirit wanted me to do... So I do it and give it/share it with you guys... Make no mistake about it though... The truth in the room is that my 'Scopes are really just notes I am making to myself... When I write the Scopes, as I go through my day I remember them... I am a spaz, and a proud member of the "Life for Slow Learners" club, so I can use all the extra help I can get... hehe...
Anyway... It's 5:30am and time to start my day... I'll probably be another 18 hour day... But great progress is being made... And the new system will last another 25 year or more when it's finished... So be patient if things aren't workin' right... Also, just to let ya's know that I read every email I get, but I just cannot reply to most of them right now.
Personally, I do not really want any thanks for what I do... But (pointing to my butt)... If you really want to thank someone... Thanks the ones that have donated because THEY are the ones that really make it all possible!!! And thank Bud and Ajanel Too!!
