John Lennon... James Dean... Ed Dubinski... etc... It's a dangerous thing when someone starts to believe the "hype" or "spin" of "modern life"... You've seen it a million times where certain people are built up in the minds & expectations of others to "levels that are not humanly possible"... The "ego" of the individual allows this to happen and that always leads towards a "crash course" with the Spirit... Still with me on this?...

Who knows, perhaps it's human nature to hope for or believe someone is going to step in and do things for us... It's easy to see how this energy works in terms of "the famous"... but we forget that it also works the same way in our own lives... We allow some to "elevate" our status with flattery or whatever to the point where we start to believe it... Sooner or later it allows us to "go too far" & causes us to "crash"... Or, it causes others to feel alienated, rejected, disappointed or "left behind" when people ultimately prove to be merely human after all.

Perhaps the best thing we can do at times like this is to make damn sure we're remaining grounded, humble and maintain the awe of the planet, universe & Big Guy's paradise. This would be a good time to take a moment to check yourself out to determine if you're putting too high expectations onto others, or allowing others to have too high of expectations of you. Keep the Faith Moondogs... Better Days & Higher Love are comin' soon...
