In the end, people are always going to do what they need to in order to survive first. So if someone has no food, they'll resort to whatever means they must in order to get food, even if those means are foul in nature.

While you are in all likelihood not facing such dire means (after all, you do at least have computer access if you are reading this), you can pull out all the stops right now to make sure your most important needs are met. Maybe that means selling off your DVD collection to pay the mortgage or taking the bus to work because you can't afford the gas to put in your car. Even if your pressing needs are met, you're going to go balls out to make sure secondary ones are met as well. People will get a little more conservative with what they put out and more liberal in how they try to bring stuff in.

This energy should inspire you to put forth your best effort in all that you do and it's really going to help those who work in service oriented areas where you have to put others first. But the most important thing right now is that your own needs are met. Best of luck.
