Sometimes we need a fresh perspective on what’s going on around us. We can get caught up in the monotony of day to day life; Same Crap Different Day. We see the same friends, talk about similar topics and wonder about what things we like and what we’d like to change. Regardless, if you do the same thing for too long, you can settle into a kind of lull where you run out of things to talk about. That’s almost why fantasy sports have been a godsend for me and my buddies; it gives us something novel to talk about on a regular basis, since we already know most of the details of each other’s lives already.

So this week is Thanksgiving and that brings families together. I don’t see most of my pop’s family throughout the year, so this gives me an opportunity to talk about new stuff. I’m imagining it’s the same for a lot of you.

The energy will feed this type of talk. There can be a little added punch to some of the things discussed right now. Some new inspirations or paths to seek out can be opened up. There can be some constructive criticism thrown around (“Cut your hair, Bud”). Things may not be put in the nicest manner, but they will be put in the words that most effectively get the point across. So take notice of this when you’re with your family or wherever over the next couple of days. If someone says something harsh to you, it’s because you needed to hear it put that way or else you might blow it off. Happy Thanksgiving and best of luck.
