Following the Christmas spread, I could stand to drop a few pounds (well, I could long before Christmas dinner, but that’s another story). I’m sure many of you guys out there ate your fill as well. Luckily for those of us who put on a few, this transit should kick in instant opportunities to run around and burn off some calories.

The key word for the weekend is agenda, and most people will have one. Many will be busy running around hooking up with friends from out of town who are lingering. Others are going to be in a rush to get to the post-holiday sales while others are going to be taking back the stuff they got to exchange it for other stuff. The holiday madness doesn’t instantly melt away because the holiday is over.

I think the most important thing you can do here is to make sure you have a plan. Organization is going to be harder to come by for the upcoming future, but if you’ve got a plan of action and some semblance of order, you’re going to be the ones taking care of your duties and not forgetting anything along the way. Many people will be looking to take a step up rather than settling for the usual here, so you might have to battle for position at times. Give yourself every advantage over the other guys.
