The power of friendship is an important thing. With friends, we often know what to expect out of each other and we generally know that our friends aren’t going to treat us wrong. But starting today, Mercury will be retrograde once again, and a lot of those characteristics we can generally expect out of friends might be harder to come by.

First of all, people are going to take more individualistic approaches to the pursuit of their dreams. Certain options they wouldn’t normally pursue because they betray the ethics of good friendship will now seem open, almost like an “opportunity too good to pass up”. Just keep this in mind if your buddy’s hot little sister is a little drunk at the bar and starts hitting on you relentlessly.

In more extreme cases, the inner conscience will usually win out and you’ll choose to remain loyal (or your friends will be loyal to you). But there can be plenty of situations coming up where your inner monologue will say, “Billy won’t mind if I do this.” Therein lies the madness of Mercury retro; Billy is going to be totally pissed. Try to rise above it and keep the feeling of loyalty fresh in your mind.

Aside from that, watch out for mechanical or electrical problems, issues with transportation (particular your vehicle) and if you aren’t sure someone understands you, repeat yourself again, even if it makes things momentarily awkward.
