It’s a set of responses. For example: how do you react to what you read here today? Or how you respond to what your mother in law says? Or what your boss does? Or what that poor excuse for a human that cut you off on the road the other day? It’s all about how we have grown and matured from these experiences. Do we turn the other cheek? Do we try to improve upon the situation? Do we involve others? Do we incite a knock down drag out fight? Do we take others down with us? If we practice “doing the right thing,” it eventually becomes instinctual. It’s like a muscle you exercise. You don’t think about it anymore. It becomes habit—knee jerk. But if you lead a shady lifestyle, having to keep a close eye on your things, always having to remember the little “white lie,” or the last time you bent the truth, that’s when trouble ensues. When we’re not being just, true, or wholesome, we’re denying ourselves advancement of our souls. If you don’t use your muscle, it eventually atrophies, right? Be sure to keep flexing that muscle today.
