No one wants to receive bad news. But with Mercury conflicting with the Node, some people might be on the verge of getting some. Also, the old corollary, "No news is good news," also goes out the window as well. There's also the potential that some important information (with the ability to transform your overall direction) might be missed just because you weren't where you were supposed to be. Make sure you are keeping your lines of communication open to others so that you can be reached if one of these opportunities comes along. If you're waiting to hear back on something essential, be active and make follow-up calls (though you should avoid doing so to the point where it becomes annoying to the recipient of such calls).

This also isn't the time to get any bright ideas. A lot of us will tend to out-think ourselves as we ponder solutions to the issues in our lives. Some of the "brilliant" ideas we come up with can end up backfiring in a big way.

With general communication and thinking under duress right now, the best you can do is relay your intentions through your actions. You have to be wary that you aren't doing things solely out of selfish motives (with Venus about to go retro, others will see through that), but if you can be genuine in trying to do things that benefit others (or things that show off the value of your skills and talents) you can still make an impact on others in a way that can open up some doors for you. In terms of ability, you can accomplish pretty much anything you set out to do. You'll be too determined to quit after any setbacks. The major problem revolves around what it is you want to do. You really won't have much interest in doing things you're told to do, so you can go through the motions to a great extent in these situations. At the same time though, you're only holding yourself back and you should see the personal benefit in handling responsibilities quickly, which will give you more time to focus on yourself.
