On one hand, it’s a very empowering time, where you know you have influence over your future path. On the other, you really want to make sure you’re making any decisions based on good intelligence. You want to avoid doing things because you have a good feeling about them, or even because they make you feel good. If you don’t have hard facts backing you up, you are probably going to make poor assumptions and that can affect your decisions.

With that much importance riding on things, this makes it more important that you’re getting the answers you need. Be active in your approach. Ask tough questions. Do the leg work to find out what’s really going on. If you stay back on your heels, you might not react quickly enough to take advantage of the opportunity you were looking for. Best of luck.
