Welcome to 2012. As we head into the new year, we're in the midst of a bit of a lull in the astrological activity. There's decent separation between the planets for the most part, and this is going to lessen the intensity we'll see in our lives a good deal. So try to think about things in terms of a blank slate. You can capture your footing, rededicate yourself to new goals and this can also provide us with a time to recuperate from previous stresses.
For today, we'll still feel some lingering effects from this weekend's Mars-Mercury connection, so there can still be some heightened emotions, and might have a spat or two whenever previous issues haven't been dealt with. But this will diminish over the course of the day, and things should gradually fade back into a more calm state. Be sure to turn your eyes forward to the potential that the new year has in store. In many ways your work is emblematic of who you are as a person. If you do a crappy job, that's going to reflect poorly on you, and as such, you can be very cognizant of what you're doing and how others are interpreting it. There can be an ebb and flow of emotions regarding the things you have to do today, but these surges can be brief and negative ones aren't likely to derail you for very long. Just keep your focus on what you need to accomplish and everything else will work itself out.
