Daily Horoscope for Leo Summary

One of my favorite songs ever features the line "It is sickenening to see a dream die". It's pretty poignant. Dreams and wishes represent hope, they represent a world we'd like to see. But often times, a primary problem with dreams is they take too much of a hold in our minds. Our extrapolation of the dream itself in our minds creates a situation that starts to blur our reality. This is sort of what's going on in the current energy.

As we emerge from the eclipse of last week, there's a nice reserve of emotional build-up that most of us will be sorting through. This causes us to get too attached to certain ideas, many of which seem to be related to things we'd like to see happen. The troubling part though is that we can only really lock on one sort of possibility, but our mind can reject similar options that exist. Such a similar option might in actuality end up being better in reality, but it's "not what we immediately envision will make us happy".

It's similar to a concept I have shared with one of my buddies from the pub called "Dysharmonic Convergence". He would be in a mode where he was trying to hook up with waitress A, while waitress B was sort of in the background and kind of dug him. So he throws all of his energy into hooking up with waitress A (the alpha), but never ends up getting anywhere. In the meantime, waitress B (the beta) would tire of his relentless pursuit of the alpha, and move along. Eventually, he'd come to realize he should have gotten with the beta, but at this point she wasn't interested anymore. So the beta is really the alpha (a lot of booze went into this theory, I know).

In any event, today's energy looks to be a minefield of dysharmonic convergence, where the things you are prone to pursuing only really serve to distract you from the things you will end up liking and appreciating the most. So be careful how diligently you pursue something and keep your options open. You never know how a seemingly less ideal path will turn out. Best of luck.

There can be an increased onus on chasing "states and labels". For instance if you have a friend you hang around with (in a semi-romantic capacity), you might look for a "boyfriend" or "girlfriend" label, even if it only complicates what was an undefined, but ultimately mutual agreement. The same thing can extend to other areas of life. The thing is you should look at things for what they are, rather than how others are going to interpret them. If something is difficult to describe, but you know inside what it is, then let others worry about it.
