Daily Horoscope for Leo Summary

The focus of the current chart lies with Neptune at present. It's not as an intense of a chart as we've had in recent past, but it is the sort of thing that can hit you in the feels if you're not careful.

As we near Christmas time, you think of gift-giving. If you have kids, they're probably going to tell you what they want. They might tell you a lot. We kind of culturally brand into kids minds during this time "You get to ask for stuff, and you're probably going to get it". Obviously, there's going to be variation on this from family to family, but at the baseline, this is how little kids and Christmas operate in American society.

This process of wishing builds within it expectation. Expectation ultimately brings with it two outcomes - you get what you were expecting, or you don't. If you're a little kid, and you talk for two months straight about how you want Santa to bring you a bike, and on Christmas morning, there's a bike there, you're on top of the world. And if on Christmas morning, there's no bike there, you're like "This is some straight bullshit!"

Parents fear the latter, which is why a lot of time you see people breaking their backs or overextending their finances just to avoid their kids ending up in aforementioned scenario #2. If you're shrewd around the holidays, outsiders will look down on you. Again, this is a societal thing - we're all supposed to subscribe to this. In the end though, is caving and just supplying your kids with every single whim in their best interests? Is it in yours? Isn't this what Willy Wonka's all about?

Anyways, to get back to the chart, think of what I've said above. Right now, we're "the little kids". We want stuff. All of us want something, we might want it a little, we might want it a lot. Some of the stuff we want requires some good fortune, and a little bit of assistance from the Big Guy - "the parent". But the Big Guy doesn't adhere to societal standards established by people, he runs on the universe's standards. If something isn't part of the plan, it isn't going to go down.

We think of things in short-sighted terms - we're people, we have these limited life spans and time is the ultimate commodity. But sometimes that bike you don't get now is money invested towards something better down the line. When you only look at the present, you only give yourself possibilities rooted in what you can presently see.

So as you go through the day, keep this in the back of your mind when it comes to your wants. They can be vibrant, they can be rich, and they might drive you to accomplish things. But your happiness doesn't have to be dependent on them being fulfilled. There's other ways to find joy and satisfaction in the world around you. Don't paint yourself into a corner to this end. Open your mind up to possibilities. If you do get what you want, enjoy the mountaintop. But if you don't, keep looking for a different road up there - don't let it bring you crashing down to earth. The successful people today will keep trying something - the ones who falter are the ones who accept only one outcome. Best of luck.

When it comes to desire, you'll have this propensity to take things to extremes today. The bar for your satisfaction might be set with what you think is possible, but there's a whole world out there built upon ideal notions. I think people call it "Fiction". Some of the things you might want might be too idealistic, and in some instances, your expectations will be too high. This can be the case in romantic relationships, where often you can't seem to string the right words and phrases together to get locked in with someone else. Somehow though, all of this can add to your general stability. The things you miss out on now can build up on you like scars, but they aren't the sort of things that will cause you to reel again in the future.
