Happy New Year!

We're starting the year off with the Sun running up alongside Saturn. With that said, it's time to get back to work. There can be some inner turmoil that comes along with that, especially if you're like me and have had off since mid-December or even just the last week off. But this energy is all about fulfilling your duties, and making sure they're done in an optimal manner so you're not going back to them later. The more you get done here, the better off you're going to feel overall.

The downside is that this can create some issues with your relationships, something that's actually going to intensify over the next two weeks or so. We also have Mercury running into a difficult aspect with Mars, which won't hit with a lot of intensity today (it's just warming up), but will get stronger for a little while. This can cause some tension between people (occasionally arguments) and many situations where people are going to look to put their needs above those of others. It's a time that can be lacking in diplomacy as well. You combine "poor communication" with "too much to do, not enough time to talk" and you can see how the problems might start to arise.

We also still have Uranus hooked up with the Node, and the Node drifting further into a connection with Pluto. That one will take a while to intensify, but that's going to be driving a lot of the big changes we see over the early part of the upcoming year.

All told, there will be challenges to overcome and quite a bit to do, but as long as you stay on top of things, you can head in a direction that's more to your overall liking. It's the sort of energy that sucks in the moment but is totally worth it after you've put in the blood, sweat and tears so to say. So if you feel like things are getting tougher, stick with them. And if you feel like you might be losing strength, look to the people around you, as support here can be invaluable. If you're in a pretty good spot yourself, look to see if someone nearby can use a helping hand, as that's the sort of thing people appreciate for long periods of time. Best of luck.

When it comes to your health right now, you don't want to leave much to chance, and you definitely want to be ahead of the game on dealing with things. That means things like being more rigid with your diet and physical activity, or getting any problems checked out and treated. If you're "waiting for something to go away", you risk agitating it further. The energy also can impact your work, to the point where you might feel overwhelmed by what you have to get done. It's really important to put priority here. You might have to pass up some fun interludes to do so, but you won't be putting yourself in a massive hole to dig out of either.
