When there's a clear goal at the end of your path, you're going to be able to take more direct steps to get there.

There might be some relationship issues to iron out as well, though you have to be mature about how you handle them. Others can point out the things you're doing wrong, and you should take steps to correct them (you can do the same for others as well). These can tend to be situations where you'll tend to weigh changing for the better over the lazy way out because of the positive influence it can have on your connections with others.
