When you think in a durational sense of how long you've known people in relationships, you might think that these connections are defined by major, life altering factors. Most of the time though, it's the little things that dictate how you carry on interacting with people. It could be something someone says, or the way they look at you in response to how you've said something. It might not be an event that determines whether someone is your best friend or worst enemy, but merely a pattern of small reactions over a length of time. These things often build up collectively, defining your relationship, and bigger events just slot in somewhere on top of that.

The current energy can indicate more potent power to these "little things". This is where it's important to watch out for "the straws that broke the camel's back". Ignoring someone here might get them to cast you off. A rude retort might cause reciprocal animosity. Being selfish or greedy can create a mindset that you're only out for yourself. All of these things work vice versa do, so you might be on the receiving end. But you can ultimately only control your own reactions, and that's where you should focus today. Especially with Mercury retro, this is where you need to be a little more thoughtful of how you interact with those around you. Doing the little things right can build strong friendships, but treating them with a lack of importance can tear them down. There can be points you want to make, ones that might even seem super important to you, but you can tend to make sacrifices and take on hardship just to bring more attention to yourself to do so. The problem is others aren't going to divorce the two - if you get yourself in a bad spot to shine some light on something, they're still going to rip you up for doing something dumb. As a result, if you're going to engage in something challenging, it needs to be on its own merits, and not something you're doing to up the degree of difficulty, as then others might acknowledge it.
