Daily Horoscope for Pisces Summary

The concept of “Occupy Wall Street” is a little strange to me. I understand the fact that people wish things were, I suppose, in theory different. But what's the end goal? Is there one? Or is this all just “Corporations are bad, man. We gotta take them down!”?

In truth, there are certain things that probably should be rectified. Banks maybe should be more direct in their handling of foreclosures and such. CEOs getting golden parachutes seems to run opposite the idea of meritocracy as well. But we hear about all of the bad stuff, and we kind of don't take any of the neutral/positive stuff into account. It's not juicy.

We all inhabit little worlds, and the 99% world doesn't really interact all that much with the 1% world. The schism between the two; is it really all that big? If you had more money than you could spend, wouldn't you buy big or expensive things? If cost wasn't an option, wouldn't you personally select the best things available? In similar situations, most people would do similar things.

So much of class warfare boils down to the same thing most warfare really boils down to: lack of interaction. As I've said here in scopes past, in old time warfare, it was easy to get people riled up against a distant enemy by calling them monsters, rapers, murderers (basically lying about them and dehumanizing them). If you had no interaction with them, you could denigrate them to your hearts content. With social media, this makes modern war a lot harder to sell to the common folk.

It's easy to peg people that are segregated away (such as the super-rich) as a common scourge and rally against them. But what does it solve? The 99% throughout all of history has had limited total capital, and has occupied “far more enticing roles” such as slaves, serfs, indentured servants and so on. Things have certainly improved some. What should we do?! Let's tax the rich folks! What's that going to solve though? You are taking money from a group of 1%ers and giving it to different 1%ers (the government) to control.

The sad thing in all of this is really people are angry at a situation, looking for something to blame (which is today's norm) and not really taking a look at root causes behind it. Why is unemployment up? Because machines made manual labor less necessary and finding foreign work is far cheaper. Because conglomeration of corporations has lessened the number of companies that exist out there, and fewer companies have a more streamlined work force. Because many companies aren't on solid economic standing and making significant investment in the workforce could break their backs if things turn sour. There are tons of other reasons. But the thought that some board room exec is laughing out loud “Muhahahaha!” as he has to make a decision to lay off 1500 workers is pretty foolish to me.

Anyways, today's spirited diatribe is sponsored by Venus and Mars hooking up with Uranus. Let your best ideas out there into the open. Don't blame what you don't understand; seek to improve the things you do and learn about the things you don't. When we treat root causes, things change; when we treat symptoms we delay the inevitable. Best of luck.

The Daily Horoscope for Pisces

The ability to manipulate tools to your advantage increases here as will your ability to find added uses for things around you. The mental side of things might even have you completely reinventing the reasons why certain things exist. All of this can serve to help you out in the sense that you won't need to rely on having particular things around in order to be successful; you can adapt to a variety of different tasks and goals.
