Daily Horoscope for Pisces Summary

Today's energy is all about power. So it's going to be a little weird that I start off with a story about Olive Garden. I like Olive Garden (which is probably sacrilege being of partial Sicilian descent, but the lasagna is tasty, so back off). Me and my buddy Jaret have been going there to eat for years. Jaret, like myself, is 30, went to college, went to Ranger School, studied to become a surveyor, became a surveyor, and now there's no surveying work, so he's now unemployed. Anyways, a couple of weeks back he gets a job at Olive Garden, where he's going to work as a waiter. I'm pumped, because hey, employee discount.

Tonight we go out to eat, and he tells me he got canned from Olive Garden after two weeks. I'm like why? He's a smart guy, has worked in restaurants before; it's a little shocking. Apparently, he mistakenly wiped out an order cause he hit the wrong button on their touch screen, but he was able to redo the credit card info, the Olive Garden gift card any everything but a two-dollar coupon. That's supposed to come out of his tips. A manager who works there told him to trade the coupon off to someone else for two bucks, and they can throw it on an order and he can get his two bucks; an unwritten rule they say. He tries to do this, but some other waitress he talked to complains to the general manager, who's obligated by the rules of their job to report it to Corporate. Corporate dubs this as “fraud”, and orders Jaret to be immediately terminated. Over a two-dollar coupon. At a job he's had for two weeks, where he's still learning the ropes. Power.

So since Olive Garden a. believes my buddy is masterminding some scheme to bankrupt them one two-dollar coupon at a time, or b. cares so little about discarding new employees over menial mess-ups, I figured I'll share this heaping pile of BS with the multitude of people who read our horoscopes. And this is the crux of today's energy; when you try to over-exert your influence, others are going to resist and push back, and it's going to make even small situations a mess. So look for balance and fairness in the things that you do and with the people you interact with, or else you too can get sucked into an abyss you don't really want to deal with. Best of luck.

Group plans can fall into place, but you can hold all of the cards. While this might seem empowering, there is a level of responsibility that comes with this. If you're the kid with the box of crayons, and everyone's coloring, and you take that box away, sure you hold the control of the situation, but you've also created a situation where those around you are now angry at you. This applies to your current situation; you have to be careful with the power you have because using it poorly can have its drawbacks.
