Daily Horoscope for Pisces Summary
Today I Start my Life Anew...
Ut-ohhh... I feel a rant coming on... hehe...
My cousin John had a problem with his HP laptop and asked me to take a look at it... All of a sudden, it would not 'see' the hard drive and therefore could not start... It also asked for an administrators password too... A call to HP Support... Wait on hold... Talk to a person for a moment and transfered to another personal.... Another wait on hold... (Zzzzzz)... Get to a person finally... Some cat named Mohit who I could barely understand... Gave him the specs for the machine and was told it was '45 days out of warrenty' and could not help me unless I agreed to a $100 fee...
We buy products... But when a company builds in a system that disables the product and prevents it from being repaired, that is wrong on all levels... This is happening more and more... With mobile phones... computers... automobiles... refrigerators or whatever... We do our job and buy the product, it's about time they start doing their job and supporting the product... Now if John did something to actually 'break' the machine, they would be well within their rights to charge a fee... But when it is a product malfunction, getting slapped with a $100 service fee to run one tiny program to reset it was over the top... I'll never buy another HP product again.
Ok... Sorry 'bout that, but it's one of those things that I felt needed to be said... Not much of a horoscope summary... But I think I covered most of it in the Weekly Summary anyway...
