Outside of realizing you won't be able to please everybody, your mindset should be focused more on steering towards the things you want to see happen, while not fighting too hard if it's apparent that you're not going to make any progress in a given direction. Some people can get frustrated and might take actions similar to beating their head against a wall. If all you're seeing in an area is resistance, you should start looking for a better way to do things. Just remember that with energy like this, the wisest thing you can do is pick your spots.
