Daily Horoscope for Sagittarius Summary

Gung Hay Fat Choy!
Happy Chinese New Year! Year of the Water Rabbit
Sun Moves into Aquarius
Aquarius New Moon Conjuncts Pluto

There is so much going on the sky right now! And it seems each story leads to another one! Suffice it to say, this definitely marks new beginnings. And to get new beginnings, other things must end. The year of the metal tiger moves aside for the water rabbit. The Sun moves out of Capricorn where it ruled ambition, government, chief executives, business, political position, all kinds of institutions, among other things. And into Aquarius which rules hopes, wishes, dreams, friends, alliances, fraternities, memberships, groups and their activities, and these will become more predominant. Yes, the sun changes signs every month and it is in Aquarius every year. BUT this is now a taste of what is coming when Pluto moves into Aquarius for a few weeks in March to give us a glimpse of what it will do when it moves there exactly one year from today to stay until 2044. It has been in Capricorn since 2008! So it stays in each sign for a very long time! Lord knows how much the world has changed since 2008! Imagine what will happen by 2044, if you dare!

This new moon marks the Chinese New Year, as it always does, but it is also only a couple of degrees away from Pluto, still considered conjunct.

Pluto conjunct the sun and the moon brings up things we are not aware of or are have been choosing to ignore, personally or collectively. Pluto is determined to uncover everything that is hidden and all the things happening in the sky now just add plenty of fuel to his fire or the match to his dynamite. I had hoped that maybe, just maybe, we could sneak quietly into 2023 and have at least a quiet start to the year. But somehow, it seems to already be more tumultuous in every way than the past few have been!

Let me tell you what I have learned. I am the one who has a choice, in every moment, how I feel. I have decided that no matter what is going on in the world or around me, I will be happy. I admit to having an occasional moment of wondering why something happens. I have found that I can still maintain my happiness even when sharing tears with others. And it is not something that must be learned. It is just a choice in every moment!

Here is what the first new moon of 2023 means for each sign!

Today's Astrology Quote of the Day:
We are born at a given moment, in a given place and, like vintage years of wine, we have the qualities of the year and of the season of which we are born...
Astrology does not lay claim to anything more...

Daily Tao

The Tao, eternally nameless
Its simplicity, although imperceptible
Cannot be treated by the world as subservient

If the sovereign can hold on to it
All will follow by themselves
Heaven and Earth, together in harmony
Will rain sweet dew
People will not need to force it; it will adjust by itself

In the beginning, there were names
Names came to exist everywhere
One should know when to stop
Knowing when to stop, thus avoiding danger

The existence of the Tao in the world
Is like streams in the valley into rivers and the ocean
