You really need to ride the wave because there can be some ups and downs, and keep your perspective because things can change rapidly, even your feelings about situations you're in.

The big goal here should be to weed out paths that aren't going to work out that well (you might have to start things up to get an idea first), so you can hone in on ones that are more viable.
