Welcome to 2012. As we head into the new year, we're in the midst of a bit of a lull in the astrological activity. There's decent separation between the planets for the most part, and this is going to lessen the intensity we'll see in our lives a good deal. So try to think about things in terms of a blank slate. You can capture your footing, rededicate yourself to new goals and this can also provide us with a time to recuperate from previous stresses.

For today, we'll still feel some lingering effects from this weekend's Mars-Mercury connection, so there can still be some heightened emotions, and might have a spat or two whenever previous issues haven't been dealt with. But this will diminish over the course of the day, and things should gradually fade back into a more calm state. Be sure to turn your eyes forward to the potential that the new year has in store.
