Happy Christmas!

We've been working with some rougher long-term placements in the chart recently, with the outer planets locked up in some tough spots. It's probably created at least a couple situations in your life that you might wish to escape from. But take a moment today to look at where you started and where you are now. A lot of things in life aren't built overnight - most things take a lot of time. You get to goals one step at a time. It's kind of like Bud's Christmas shopping list, which started with 13 names on it. You check one name off at a time. It took 4 days this week to get something for everyone, but finally it's all over.

Today's chart has the backbone of continued struggle, where you'll need to work hard to overcome adversity, one step at a time. That's going to linger for quite a while. There could possibly be an issue or two that pop up that you have to deal with. But at the same time, we have a couple of positive, shorter-term transits that are going to take some of the sting out of things.

Neptune's afflictions deal with a lack of fortune and distorted abilities to discuss your hopes and dreams. But Venus comes in to take some of the edge off of that. It helps you find the right situations to say the things you need to say to others. It helps you find the resources you need to get by, even if it might not be what you immediately want.

The Uranus and Node affliction casts doubts on your future direction. You can second guess what it will take to get to your goals. You might feel no one is on your side to help achieve them, and you have to buck the system to get what you want. But while this might normally drive a lot of people to confusion and inaction, the Sun kicks in to tell you that you should do something. It pushes you forward. It says do something smart to reduce the distance to your goals, even if you don't get all the way there.

Change looms on the horizon. We're heading into a new year, and it might be a tough year for a lot of people in the sense that the things they've become accustomed to will change. It's a restructuring of priorities, and the foundations which we're all built upon. It might end up being scary. But it's also an opportunity. Old houses may crumble, and new ones may be built. But if you are always looking for a chance to build, rather than lament what might be lost in doing so, and you'll alwqays have a path forward. Best of luck.
