Daily Horoscope for Taurus Summary

There is so much going on in the sky this weekend that I felt the need to write for both days. I just could not get it all into one day! Yesterday started the first Mercury retrograde of 2022. We all love those! Actually, they can be good for redoing things we wish we had done better or correcting mistakes. It started yesterday but will last until February 3, so it is very much in effect this whole weekend. The Sun is also conjunct Pluto for a few days now. The Sun remember, is you and Pluto destroys and rebuilds. And there is also a full moon in Cancer on Monday that is opposite this Sun Pluto conjunction. We will start feeling its effects this weekend.

A Sun conjunct Pluto transit can change your personality, for better and for worse, depending on how you react. Some people will reinvent themselves in ways they have never imagined before. But no matter what, there will be consequences that you may not be prepared for. This transit shows that even the most fortunate of us may be forced to deal with things like death or forces that take away everything we have taken for granted up until now. You may feel the urge to make a change in your life, which if positive will be very satisfying and if negative can be tragic. The main feature of the Sun conjunct Pluto transit is change. This is an extraordinary transit for transformation, personal evolution and renewal.

We got a mere two weeks of peace upon entering 2022 before our first Mercury retrograde. Well, maybe some people did! This pesky transit is known for causing tech troubles, travel snags, brain fog, and communication glitches — not exactly something to look forward to. It can also be a good time to slow down and review your plans so you can make necessary adjustments. Understanding how the first Mercury retrograde of 2022 will affect you can help you outsmart the drama.

Mercury is the planet that rules all matters of logistics, and this includes things like thinking, texting, number-crunching, scheduling, or communicating in general. It is retrograde — as it will be four times in 2022 — it can cause confusion in all of these areas. This is not the time to begin new projects or sign contracts, as it causes misunderstandings or roadblocks. Do double check deadlines and leave extra time to get around. Mercury entered Aquarius on Jan. 1, which could put an added strain on tech communication, group projects, or friendship dynamics during the first half of the retrograde, so make sure you back up your files and double-check that your texts and emails are going to the right place. On Jan. 25, Mercury will rewind into practical-minded Capricorn for the remainder of the retrograde, which could bring confusion to money matters or throw wrenches into our most well-laid plans. If possible, avoid making any big purchases and hold off on starting any major projects until Mercury has stationed direct, which happens on Feb. 3. Tomorrow I will talk about the coming full moon

The Daily Horoscope for Taurus

Career or school related endeavors might slow down now, so instead of starting anew tie up loose ends on older projects. Taking care of unfinished business at work or catching up on things you are behind on will help you feel ready to take action once the retrograde ends.

Daily Tao

Tao produces them
Virtue raises them
Things shape them
Forces perfect them

Therefore all things respect the Tao and value virtue
The respect for Tao, the value of virtue
Not due to command but to constant nature

Thus Tao produces them
Virtue raises them
Grows them, educates them
Perfects them, matures them
Nurtures them, protects them

Produces but does not possess
Acts but does not flaunt
Nurtures but does not dominate
This is called Mystic Virtue
