Our perceptions on things can tend to run away with themselves here, which makes us a lot more prone to anxiety and building things up to be greater than they actually are. Injecting a dose of realism is important to keep our mindsets at a rational level. With Mercury retro, you don't want to be operating on false assumptions, and given the higher likelihood of them in general, it means you have to put in a bit more effort to get to the bottom of things.

This energy can tie into our relationships as well, where too often we want something more than our desire to actually go out and make it happen. This leaves us prone to holding patterns where we wait for the rest of the world to catch up. If you can't speed a process up on your own, you're better off going and doing something else for the time being. In relationships, the key is to be realistic about what you demand out of others. If you're not sure what others are looking for themselves, ask. It's the best way to find out for sure, and operating on hope alone might not get you any closer to the goal. The more grandiose the plan seems, the more likely you are to buy in. That's somewhat dangerous however because it leaves you more susceptible to getting bilked by others selling dreams without much substance behind them. You really want to be careful with investments (and really, all money in general) here, as it's not a strong time for those areas of life. Some of this might be motivated by a desire to make a stronger impact on the people around you, but you're better off coming up with others methods for that that don't involve your money or resources.
