Happy Halloween!
Although it is officially Monday and that is when the trick or treaters come out, this weekend there will be lots of celebrations of the holiday! This is a holiday that has its roots centuries ago and is still celebrated in many countries around the world. Even though the celebrations may vary, they all in some way acknowledge the spirits of the dead. It is said that the veil is between the worlds is thinner at this time of year and contact with the deceased is easier. Believe about this as you will. I have heard many tales of supernatural contact and experienced many myself, not only in October! There is a propensity toward dying in October in my family. Coincidence? Maybe! It is the beginning of Scorpio season which is the sign of darkness and mystery. Whether you believe or not, it is a really good time to watch some spooky movies as the nights are longer and colder and there is more time for it! Or reading ghost stories! I just picked up a book of classic stories by 18th and 19th century authors and am thoroughly enjoying it! Not just stories like Frankenstein’s Monster and The Raven, but lesser-known ones like Was It A Dream? and The Haunted Doll House.
