Twenty Years Ago...
I grew up working in the trucking industry... My dad had a truck parts & service company... As we got older, my other brothers & sisters went on to university but I chose to remain with & work with my dad... Which I did, until he closed it down... We both went to work for one of his friends that owned a competing company.

Years later, while in my early 30's... One morning I woke up and it hit me... I realized how much I hated what I was doing... There was no challenge in it... The pay sucked... So I quit... Everybody said "You'll be back"... I went to work for a couple different competitor companies, but it was the same thing... Arrgg... One day, my friend Sharon Whyte called me and said she recently went to work for this new "internet" company... Back then, nobody knew what "internet" was... But I did, because my brothers were going to the university and used to give me their old computers and got me an internet account... I had taught myself and learned a lot about computers and how to program them... Anyway... Sharon and I decided to go to lunch and I went to pick her up at the new company she was working for.

When I got there, she was really busy and she couldn't leave the office right away... So while I was waiting for her, I started talking to the owner... He asked me if I knew about the internet and I told him I did, and that I had an account at the university that my brothers got for me... Our conversation went all over the place and he ended up offered me a job... And in the spur of the moment, I said yes... We never even talked about pay or any details about what I would do.

So here I was working for this internet company... Even with what I knew about it, there was still a huge learning curve... Somewhere along the way, Sharon had told the engineers and others that I was an astrologer... So every-time I'd walk into the office, each of the guys would ask me... Hey Dan, what's in my stars today?... I basically got sick of repeating the same breakdown over and over again to each guy throughout the day... So I got the idea to build a webpage where I would write the horoscope down, and they could check it when they wanted and stop pestering me all the time... Hehe... Besides, I wanted to learn this new internet programming language too... So I built a page called "Hey Baby, What's your Sign?" to share the scopes and learn internet programming at the same time.

The engineers suggested that I get my own "domain-name"... So I chose "WeeklyHoroscope.com" and bought it for $35... I found that I really liked writing the horoscopes (back then it was just a summary like this) because it forced me to study the chart in more detail and I'd remember it as I went through my week... That was a really big help to me in my personal and professional life as it kept me focused on what mattered and where my best chances of success could be found... Surely there was some kind of fate and destiny involved, because right after I got the WeeklyHoroscope.com website up and running, the company we worked for announced it was closing down... But instead of just letting the horoscopes go... I found a place that would let me put the horoscopes on their server and I decided that I'd keep them going.

So here I am this morning... Twenty years later... Doing something that I never even considered doing... Writing horoscopes for the internet and newspapers... And smiling that big smile that only comes from looking backwards at all the highs, lows and at what a strange trip it's been... Tragedy, heartbreaks, fun, adventures, madness, highs, lows, magic and miracles... Just about anything you could imagine... And all the different people that have stepped up and became a part of it too..! I may not have piles of dough, but there isn't a richer man in the world in my opinion!... hehe...

And twenty years later, I am still struggling to find the ways to take what I see in the charts in front of me, and finding ways to bring that information to you guys too... What the human mind can do instantly takes incredible amounts of time and effort of programming... And ask anyone who maintains a website (especially one with 35 million visitors)... It's not cheap or easy to do... So it's a matter of me doing "real work" to help pay for the "play work"... hehe...

Huge Thanks to the Members because this site wouldn't be possible without them... And as much as you guys hate the ads, they pay the bulk of the costs to keep the site alive... And besides, if hate the ads that much, you could become a member... Members see no ads once they log in... All the ads instantly "disappear" and is replaced with info that only relates to THEIR PERSONAL BIRTH CHART!!... Not just the transits that apply to everybody like you see in the horoscopes, but how it personally applies to THEM!!... Relax... I'm not tryin' to sell memberships... Just tryin' to 'Splain (spoken in my best Ricky Ricardo voice) how it all works...

Lastly, I could never thank you guys enough for stoppin' by to check out the 'scopes because it gives me the reason to keep it all goin'... Truth is that these 'scopes are really just notes I am making to myself... But most of all, I could never express the thanks I feel to all of those that have helped make this all possible and have shared in turning a dream into a reality... (Especially the Big Spirit)... I could never have done this on my own...
