Happy Birthday Valerie...
Val would be 61 years old this week... Amazing how time flies... I still have in my wallet the little slip of paper she gave me with her phone number and her address on it when I asked her out the first time... It's sad that she has passed on, but there is also a deeper joy in it too... Knowing that what really matters never goes away... It's always there in one way or another... But enough about that... Let's get into this week's 'Scopes...

I got an email this week asking me when the Mercury fog was going to clear... (great question)... I wish more people would write with questions like that... Because what happens is that I kinda take for granted that you guys understand the astrological cycles and what we can expect in the weeks to come... So let's get into it... Strap on your protective head-gear and lets go in and take a look at what's happening under the Big Guy's Big Skies...

Most people... (and most astrologers for that matter) do not recognize that it isn't when Mercury is retrograde that there is a problem... The problems occurs in the weeks before, when Mercury races ahead of the Sun... Mercury Retrograde merely exposes the mistakes and problems that occurred when Mercury was ahead of the Sun when we might have been "winging it"... Instead of paying attention to the messages of logic and reason we were intended to hear and follow.

All retrograde really work that way... While we are at a time like this when Mercury is ahead of the Sun, we need to be EXTREMELY careful about what we say and do... Making sure we have all the facts and figures correct, and that we are not making any assumptions... It can be a great time for finding those "Once in a Lifetime Bargains"... But it's also super important to do your research first to determine the "real value" of items you may be considering purchasing.

Right now... the idea is to both look ahead, and look behind... Any issues or problems seen right now should be addressed as soon as possible... It's the issues that pop up now and are solved than can spare you all kinds of aggravations in the future.

Anyway... The fog of Mercury ahead of the Sun will last approx another month... Mercury goes retrograde on 08/12 and returns to direct motion on 09/15... That means throughout these summer months, we must be on our toes to make sure we are acting on facts and not assuming anything... The "fog" does get lighter everyday once Mercury does go retrograde as we become more aware of where problems or mistakes might have been made and therefore have the option to make corrections... By being aware that this energy is now in effect, the idea is not to make those mistakes in the first place... Remember, that during these periods, it can be a very prosperous for those that take the time and effort to study, research and find all the facts that relate to whatever your objectives may be.
