Sorry guys, I am takin' the day off...
(after 25 years, I think I deserve it)... hehe...
Actually, I was up all night with a sick dog... It's horrible to have a sick kid, but sick kids can at least tell ya what/where the problem is... But a dog (your best pal)... A dog just looks up at ya with the big eyes and hopes you can 'figger it out' and make it better...
My dog is a pit-bull mix... He has the most ferocious bark you could ever hear... But this is a dog that can catch rabbits, squirrels and birds... But he never hurts them... He'll sniff 'em and then let 'em go... (kinda strange)... His arch enemy is the mail-man... He waits patiently each day for the mail-man to arrive and bark like a savage beast... One day, he slips through the fence and gets out... All of a sudden, he comes struttin' down the street, happy as a clam with his new best friend (the mail-man)... Once he's back inside the house, he barks at the mail-man once again... Some of you older guys will remember the Ralph and Sam cartoons... The dog and coyote punching into the time-clock in the morning...
A big Cigar... A big glass (or two) of Pinot Grigio... A yard full of kids and gran-chillun's... Laughter and Stories... Music playin'... Slow cookin' meat on the BarBie-Q... But most important, is when every cell of your body wants to look up to the Big Sky... Clench your fists with all the passion and intensity you can feel within you... To celebrate victory and to humbly say... Thank You!!
