Today I Start my Life Anew..!!

It's a Holiday Week...
Christmas Week... A Joyous Time... At least for most it is... But there are plenty of people out there that are, or have struggled in what should be festive times... I was one of those... One year, it was hard enough just tryin' to feed the kids, but let alone to buy Christmas presents for our families... Now I'm not weak or a pussy... But one night this Ray Charles came on and sang "Little Drummer Boy" and those tears wouldn't stop runnin' down my face.

At the time...
The company we started was strugglin'... At the last minute it seemed, we made a sale... It wouldn't pay much... A small website for a pool-hall... We finished the work and rushed to the customer in order to get paid... While we were waitin' for the owner of the company to pay us... (he was busy with a customer)...

An older guy came in and started talkin' to us... He started talkin' about the birds he raises and then gives them to the neighborhood kids that come over to 'help' him... Anyway... We got paid in cash but asked the owner who that guy was... He said he's just an old guy that lives alone and stops by... Said he didn't have anywhere else to go after his wife died... He told us that he worked at a restaurant... Anyway were paid and left.

As we were walkin' back to the car, we passed a jewelry store and in the window and in the window a beautiful glass sculpture of a man with a bird in a raised arm giving it to children... We went in and asked about it and the price was almost exactly what we were just paid... It wasn't much... Without thinking, we bought it... (It wouldn't have been enough for us to buy presents for either of our kids)... So we wrapped it up... Took it to the restaurant where he worked and asked the woman who greeted us to give it to the elderly man who washed dishes... She smiled and took it and we left... Inside there was a note that said "Thanks for takin' care of the children" and signed it "Father Christmas".

Every Christmas I get the Blues... But they are happy blues now... I feel quiet inside... Sure, there are times when we still struggle... That's part of life I 'Spose... Especially now With Mercury bein' retro and the chart so 'one-sided' and it's easy to lose perspective of how deeply others may be feelin' the blues... You never forget those few that saw and understood what we may be goin' through... And them havin' faith in us, gave us the faith not to give up and turn away.

This isn't easy energy for all of us to deal with... And I strongly suspect it's going to get a bit rough in the weeks/months ahead too... So we're going to have to be strong... Strong enough never to give up or to lose hope, faith, trust or most of all, our humanity!.. Just remember that magic can only happen when we remain in the moment... If you let it, the magic WILL find you.

P.S.
By the way... The story above isn't just me blatherin' on... There's a lot more astrology in there than most would realize... It's just that I didn't use the Planet and 'Roid positions to 'Splain what I was writing about... If you listen to the Song of the Week... Not just the music, but the soul in Ray's voice you'll surely 'get it'!! Sometimes we may not have a lot to give, but we can give our best back to others in the things we say and do.
