Weekly Horoscope for Sagittarius Summary

We have a big week astrologically Moon-doggies... First of all, the Sun enters the sign of Libra today (22nd) as we officially enter the "fall" season... Next we have Rosh Hashanah on Weds starting the new Ancient New Year... And lastly, my sister Sue and my birthday are on Saturday the 27th... ((YAY))... hehe... So let's get into the charts...

Ok to really understand this current chart, we have to set some ground-work first...

As most of you know, astrology is deeply rooted in the ancient wisdom, knowledge & spiritualism... It goes back thousands of years when the ancients used a Lunar Calendar... The Moed (festival) Rosh-Hashanah signals the Beginning of the New Year... Ok this is where it gets a little funky, so work with me on this...

Way back then, people shared the teachings of wise spiritual men/women often considered to be prophets... There were certain times & schedules for doing things... They called them "moedim" that were often "festivals", but the understanding was that they were really "Appointments with God"... There were certain days set aside for certain rituals... But there was also a system of years that was to be followed too.

This is where it gets important...
One of the year rules was called "The Shmittah Year"... It was called the time of "release"... It occurred every 7 years... This is when the land was to be remain fallow and all agriculture was supposed to stop, to give the earth time to re-generate... Not only that, but all personal debts were to be forgiven too... And this allowed everybody a fresh start if they had fallen into tough times... Naturally, just like now-days, most people ignored the Shmittah, but those that did abide by it, were promised abundance, riches & rewards.

Ok, now we can get into this...
The number "7" is considered to be the number of Spirituality... So if a Shmittah occured every 7 years... After the 7th Shmittah (the 49th year) the next year was considered to be a "Jubilee Year"... So it was a 50 year cycle... So I bet you're wondering why I am going into this... (yup, I sure am wondering daniel, so please get to it and please pass the olives while you're at it)... hehe...

2014 Rosh-Hashanah marks the beginning of the 7th Shmittah year... And with no surprise, the vast majority of people & countries will ignore the "spiritual law" and go about their business as usual... Besides, nothing seems to happen if it is ignored... Right?... Hmmm... Perhaps we should take a look back to see...

The last Shmittah occurred in 2008... In that year, we had the Global Financial Crisis, the Dow Jones lost 777 points... In 2001, we had the 9/11 World Trade Bombing that did major damage on the financial markets... 1994 Japan started a new program called "Quantitative Easing" a scheme attempting to stimulate a stalled economy... In 1980 we had the First Persian Gulf War... In 1973 we had Watergate, Pres Nixon resigned... 1966 had it's race riots... 1945 had Hiroshima bombing and WWII... 1938 had Hitler & the Holocaust... 1917 had WWI and stock market crash... Blah blah blah...

Get the point... Are we seeing a pattern here?... And if the pattern does hold true, then there could be wild world political/financial events that take place this year... Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to paint a "doom & gloom" picture, but I am bright enough to watch and study the past to gain insight into what we may encounter in this Shmittah year... (and next year's Jubilee year)... There could be radical or major earthquakes that take place at this time... History does have a habit of repeating itself, so I'd be very careful with your finances and pray the world leaders don't go getting all goofy and start another world war.

I pay especially close attention to this because of the Pluto/Uranus aspect that creates just the right vibe for radical transformation & chaos to take place... Personally, these aspects and shifts may be necessary in order to bring us to our Brighter Days... I 'spose it's all a matter of how each of us chooses to move with this energy.

Sorry to go on so long about this... But I think it's something we all should at least be aware of, and to carefully consider... At least that is my own approach to the ancient wisdom...
